Rental Policy
Insurance &
Damage Excess
All of our cars are third party insured. Hence, in case of an accident, you will not be liable unless the damage is attributable to your fault which should be proved by a police report. Furthermore, your car comes with our standard collision damage waiver (CDW) and damage excess of £1000- £2000 (depending on the category of car) which do not cover tyres and windscreen.
Economy & Budget Cars: damage excess of £1000
Family Compact Cars: damage excess of £1250
People Carrier Budget: damage excess of £1500
People Carrier Comfort: damage excess of £1750
SUV: damage excess of £2000
You may, however, inquire about the availability of Extended Coverage for £10 - £15 per day, which includes windscreen protection and also reduces the Damage Excess from £500 - £1200 to only £100. Please note that neither third-party insurance nor the extended coverage includes tires, cigarette burns, glass, lights, mirrors, keys, interior accessories (mechanic and electrical components) and undercarriage of the vehicles.
Your Extended Coverage will not cover the damages and losses which exceed the standard Excess liability amount, in case the damage/loss is attributable to your fault.
Your insurance policy, CDW and Extended Coverage will be void under the following circumstances, regardless of whether you purchased an Extended Coverage or not:
1- If the vehicle is used by an unauthorized driver whose name is not included in the rental contract;
2- If the Police Station and Inter Rent are not informed regarding the accident;
4- If there is no Police Report in respect of the accident causing the damage to the car;
5- If the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and
6- If the damage/loss to the car is attributable to the willful conduct of the driver.
Upon the occurrence of an accident, you have to immediately contact the Police Station and also inform and Inter Rent via +90 542 8574107 or +90 542 8853080 or +90 542 8511240. Emergency phone numbers are available on the front of your rental contract.

Payments
You can pay the rental and/or transfer costs during pick-up by card or cash in British Pounds, EURO, US Dollars or Turkish Lira.
Driving License
and Minimum Age
All International and national licenses are accepted.Renter must be in possession of valid license in order to hire a car in Northern Cyprus.
In addition to the driving license, the driver should either be 25-year-old with minimum 3 years of driving experience or 23-year-old with minimum 5 years of driving experience. For those who do not meet the age and/or experience requirement can only be offered with an Economy Category Car with double CDW liability.
Additional Driver
Free of charge. We are not charging extra for more than one driver.
Baby Seats and Boosters
£3 per day per baby seat and £1 per day per booster seat. We have limited number of baby-seats. Please book your baby seat at same time of your car.
Delivery Charge
Your car hire can be delivered / picked up to/from your address – free of charge with 7+ days of car hire.
Also, your car hire can be delivered / picked up to/from Ercan airport upon your arrival/departure – FREE of charge with 7+ days of the car hire.
Please note that with 3-6 days of car hire we have to charge you an extra £15 for collection to/from Ercan airport or from your address – just for petrol.
During summer season, we may not be able to deliver our cars to Iskele, Bafra, Famagusta, Güzelyurt and Lefke for short rentals.
For Larnaca and Paphos airport transfers between 00:00 - 06:00, additional service charge of GBP 20/way shall be added to the standard rates.

Traffic Fines
All traffic fines incurred during the rental period are the renter's responsibility.
Driving in South Cyprus
Please adhere to the following guidelines to drive the rented car in South Cyprus:

Pay the deposit of car. Deposit amount varies depending on the category of car.

Obtain the necessary permission paper from us, priced at £45.00. This paper permits you to drive the car from the Turkish border to the Greek border.

Present the permission paper to the officer at the Turkish border.

After crossing the Turkish border, you will reach the Greek border. At this point, you must show your passports and acquire Greek Insurance and Road Tax, costing 25 Euros (subject to change), required for driving in South Cyprus.

Purchase the insurance and Road Tax from the Greek Border offices.

Commence driving in South Cyprus.
Please note that the Greek offices are exclusively located on the Metehan Border in Nicosia, and their operating hours are limited to weekdays until 14:00, with closures during Greek national holidays. Ensure you plan your holiday accordingly as failure to acquire the necessary paperwork will prevent you from driving in South Cyprus. To check if the Greek offices are open, you can contact the Greek insurance office at +357-22-454700 or the local police at +357 22802838. Inter Rent Car Rentals LTD will not be held liable if you are unable to cross the border for any reason.
Once the car crosses into South Cyprus, it will no longer be insured by Inter Rent Car Rentals LTD. You must purchase insurance at the Greek Border, which will only provide 3rd Party coverage. Please read the insurance terms carefully before purchasing it at the border.
